Breed: Boxer X
Age: 4 years

Hi my name is Winston, foster mum calls me Winnie. She says I’m a boof head, lol I guess I know what she means. I’m sure one of my parents must have been a Boxer, and the other might have been a Mastiff, not too sure, there could have been other breeds having a look in, but I’ve got the floppy Boxer jowls for sure, and a good strong snore.

I’m hoping for a new family, as I’m tired of people giving up on me, and foster mum says I really can be a good boy when I try, so I want to tell you about me and hope that you’ll apply for me!

So, the Winnie that I think you’ll want to meet is a bit of a boof head, but that is a cover for a boy who is really uncertain about life and not too confident. If you are firm with me, show me that our home has firm rules and that I can’t boss you around, I’ll listen to you, I’ll walk well on lead and I’ll get along with other dogs. I’ll be playful with you and want to go places with you, and be your boy! You’ll need to get me some strong toys to stand up to my style of play, and supervise me with other dogs so I don’t push them around, but I’ll let you rule the roost. I'll also need you to help me get used to strangers when they come over.

So foster mum recommends that you really need to keep up the training she has started, and give me some basic household rules so I don’t think I’m the king. If you can’t do that then I’m not the boy for you. Also I’m not the boy for you if you just want to let me rampage at the dog park. It’s not a good spot for me. I’ve been to daycare and done well, but the staff watch out for me and help me mind my manners so that I can’t push others around.

So, do you have a firm but loving hand? Do you have a secure home (with no cats please) but space for me to run and play? Do you have time to keep up my training and help me feel more confident with the world? Then send foster mum an email at and we’ll send you back an application form.

The adoption fee covers vaccinations, desexing, micro chipping and flea and worm treatments whilst the dog is in our care.
