Breed: Fox Terrier X
Age: 3 yrs

Introducing Charlie. Our little Charlie man is a Fox Terrier x Chihuahua. He is three years old, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm treated.

Charlie is a little rocket when he gets moving, loving to run and chase the ball and he also adores a bit of tug-o-war. Mostly however his favourite game is keepings-off – he runs off with the toy, taunting you to chase him and try to get it back from him – which you won’t win as he’s very agile. He has energetic spurts and is able and happy to amuse himself with toys.

Charlie has a history of dog aggression – barking at dogs when he’s on lead or having a snap at them if they get in his face. He has begun to train up really nicely and is currently fostering with six other dogs, as well as having been to play with dogs in assorted groups. He would not do well in a situation with a boisterous, ill-mannered dog or young puppy, but would love to live with a calm, mature dog. But mostly it is human company he desires.

Charlie is currently also fostering with two cats. He is very interested in the cats and treats them well, but a nervous cat that runs might get chased. He is untested with pocket pets, chickens or livestock.

Charlie has learnt to sit and drop on command, and to stay there until released. He walks well on head halter but would very much like to pull on lead without the halter, so walking is a work in progress. His recall is currently a big work in progress, but he learns quickly and is generally easy to please.

Charlie would be a lovely addition to a family of any size but would not suit a frail, elderly owner. He would benefit from continued training and good quality socialisation. If this might be you, please send an email to us at and we’ll send you and application form.

The adoption fee covers vaccinations, desexing, micro chipping and flea and worm treatments whilst the dog is in our care.
